The Japanese jar is large—180 g—and the brand describes an 81%-water formula that changes to a more liquid feel on contact with skin. The formula is also described as low-irritation and non-comedogenic tested, but no test can guarantee that it will suit every sensitive or acne-prone user.
Think of It as a Texture Choice
The gel is not automatically “better for oily skin,” and a cream is not automatically “too heavy.” The practical distinction is how much richness your skin needs and what layers well in your climate.
Naturie’s directions place the gel after lotion, using a generous amount—approximately two layers of a 500-yen-coin-sized portion—followed by optional emulsion or cream. That last word matters. For very dry skin, the gel may be a hydrating layer rather than the final moisturizer.
