CANMAKE Creamy Touch Liner is the kind of product that can feel clever or irritating for exactly the same reason: the 1.5 mm core is exceptionally slim and soft.
At ¥715 including tax in Japan, it is positioned as an inexpensive gel pencil. CANMAKE describes it as waterproof and smudge-proof, with dense color that sets after application. Those claims are useful signals, but they do not answer the questions that matter on a real morning: Can you finish one eye before it sets? Will an oily lid still transfer it? Will the fragile core survive your makeup bag?
Start With the Mechanical Limitation
The core does not retract. CANMAKE recommends extending only about 1 mm and replacing the cap until it clicks. Leave it exposed, twist up too much, or press hard, and the pencil’s creamy texture becomes a liability.
That makes it better suited to controlled short strokes than to drawing a dramatic wing in one sweep.
Where the 1.5 mm Tip Helps
- Filling small gaps between lashes
- Keeping a line close to the lash roots
- Adding a narrow outer-corner accent
- Using softer brown, gray, or muted shades without a thick block of color
The official shade range includes deep black, several browns, gray, plum, pink, and limited colors. Check the Japanese shade number before importing; listing photos can make neighboring tones look more alike than they are.
Watery Eyes and Oily Lids: A More Honest Expectation
“Waterproof” does not mean every eye shape will remain transfer-free. Tears, sebum, skincare, sunscreen, and where the line touches folded skin all affect wear. Let the line set before blinking firmly, and avoid layering a rich cream directly where the liner must grip.
We did not find an official statement approving this product for the inner waterline. Use it only as directed on the current package rather than turning social-media technique into a safety claim.
The Buy-or-Skip Test
Buy it if you want a very fine, dark line, prefer a twist-up pencil to liquid liner, and can work with a non-retractable soft core.

Before You Order
Confirm the shade number, current packaging, seller, and return policy. The manufacturer notes that the ingredient display name changed from polyethylene to synthetic wax while the ingredient content itself did not change; an older label is not automatically a different formula.
